Picture the Solitude.

5pm, and the announcement went out. “Stay home and protect your community” ← the voice over the loudspeakers said something like that.

I live in Tokyo and have been doing my part to not go out except for a quick exercise walk or trip to the grocery store. However, yesterday I was determined to take a longer walk to a nearby neighborhood which is pretty cool, IMO. My wife said, “Bro, don’t do it.” So we enjoyed a margarita and perused websites that piqued our at-that-moment interests.

I was getting jittery, and it was 9:30pm. I said I was going to go to the shrine which is a block away. There wouldn’t be any people. No problem. I took my camera.
